I was doing some gardening before it got too hot one morning and I was distracted by a Painted Lady Butterfly on the Statice flowers, I had to get my camera to get a picture and so I spent a couple of hours watching all the visitors in the garden as they went about collecting nectar from the flowers.
I was hoping to see more Butterflies, but no luck. I have seen a Red Admiral, Brimstone and Peacock in the garden but only one of each there doesn’t appear to be so many about this year.

The Bees were working hard on the Marjoram flowers there must have been at least 30 of them, I sat on the lawn just enjoying watching them work.

Nice photos but that isn’t a small white as the black on the apex is never that extensive in that species. It’s a Large white.
Thank you once again Neil.
