The weather again wasn’t too bad on Friday 4th March early in the morning, just after rain again so I decided to see if the Barn Owl was still out and about around dawn. I’d hardly got on the Trailway before I spotted him in the fields being harassed by some Crows, he managed to get away from them and continued to quarter the fields. I took some pictures of the bird in flight even though it wasn’t good light and was surprised they came out at all!

I also attempted a short a video as he flew across the fields, difficult to keep up with him. I slowed it down in post production he was moving quite quickly.

 

Then as the other day when I saw him he landed on a post and then moved posts, I was far enough away that I didn’t worry him.

He did drop into the field at one point I was hoping perhaps he had caught a vole, but no he wasn’t lucky that time. Soon afterwards he flew away and I didn’t see him again that morning.
