Friday 23rd January – Before dawn

Sunrise 07:57 Sunset 16:46 GMT

A very cold week with a mixture of sunny days and rain. yesterday we had temperatures of – 6°C outside our house, it was very cold! Both Kim and Lucy were raring to go on their walk, I wasn’t so sure! There was a little mist by the river which coated everything in frost.

We crossed over to Bere Marsh Farm and across the trailway up to New Cross, I wanted to see the view and take some pictures, which I did and it looked very cold towards Hambledon Hill. I also spotted three Roe Deer grazing across the filed by the woodland, they were too far away to be bothered by us.

I was hoping to see some more wildlife but it was very quiet, just a few birds in the undergrowth keeping warm.

As we got back towards home with the sun just coming over the hill and trees I took a picture of one of my favourite trees with the fence leading to it covered in frost as it would soon be gone once the sun got a little higher.
