Autumn has come to our part of the world. Today it’s been very wet with gales, although it’s still very mild for this time of the year. The previous week was similar, the Swallows and Martins left just ahead of it, how do they know?

The Stour has more water in it and is running well clearing all the reeds and debris in it’s path. The Rooks are going about their business as usual, they seem to be enjoying the wind as they fly it pushes them along quickly across the fields. I am starting to see more of the little birds as the hedgerows are thinning out. The autumn colours are just coming into the trees and hopefully I’ll get a chance to get out and enjoy them without heavy rain and gales!
