I have some catching up to do with my diary as I have been unable to upload anything to my website, all is working well now so I can catch up with all the things that have been happening in the last week or so.

We have had some cold weather at last but it hasn’t lasted we are once again in a wet mild spell. There was a few frosty mornings down to -5C on a couple of mornings. Kim and I have enjoyed some nice walks on these days.

I think our visiting Hedgehogs have hibernated at last, I still put mealworms out just in case, but no sign of them. The Blackbirds enjoy the worms the next day. We have been getting a few birds to the bird table, Robins, Dunnock, Great and Bluetits, Blackbirds, Longtailed tits, Coal tits to name a few.

The Barn owls have been  active before dawn when I have been on the trailway at Bere Marsh, it’s a real thrill to waych them quartering the fields. Today I saw the pair of them together on the path towards the barn.
