For a couple of days earlier in the week I was unable to cross over into Bere Marsh and the trailway because of the floods. The Stour flooded up to the Trailway but luckily Bere Marsh Farm was well above the waters. The afternoon after the storms was sun with cloud. I went down to Shillingstone with my camera and the sun came through the clouds and altered the landscape. There was still colour in the trees and the reflections on the floods was something special.

I never know what I’m going to see on my early morning walk and this particular morning I walked the trailway towards Hammoon I was lucky to see the three Roe deer in a field quite close to the track. I think they are probably a mum and two babies, although the youngsters are nearly as big as mum now. Always a pleasure to see them.
