Early June on Hambledon Hill is always a lovely place, mind you it is whatever season it is! The flowers are coming out, the parasitic Yellow Rattle, the Quaking grass and the tiny Milkwort to name a few and this is when the Common Spotted Orchid flowers. I have seen banks of them, I don’t know if they are flowering well this year or it’s because I’ve just noticed them, they have been a lovely sight when we have been on our early morning walks.

I’ve been watching some black birds at the base of the hill a family with two fledglings, I managed to et close to them one morning and managed to identify them as Ravens. I knew they were on the hill but this is the first timeI’ve seen them and to see a family was rally exciting.
