The second week of December turned decidedly colder in the early part of the week. I’m glad it wasn’t too cold on Monday 10th December as I went on a day photography workshop along the Jurassic coast, a bit nippy but sunny for a change, more to come on my Photo Blog soon.
There was a biting south easterly wind for a few days including some rain and some stormy skies. It has now turned milder a little sunshine with lots of rain the Stour has been over its banks once again.

I was making lunch one day and looked out our kitchen window to the fields beyond our garden and all I could see was a field of Fieldfares! I grabbed the camera and managed to get a picture of a small number of them, there must have been a couple of hundred, I couldn’t get too close as they were a little nervous. Some returned in the following days but we are only seeing an odd one now it’s got milder again.

I spotted this fungus at the bottom of the lane near home still looking fresh and new.

I can do some lazy bird watching and photography sitting in our lounge watching the birds on the feeder, hopefully we will get some different species as the winter progresses.
