January is moving on and we have had a mixture of weather. I’ve decided that I love the winter particularly for photography in the early mornings and also a big bonus is not having to get up too early for the sunrise. I think the mornings are starting to get lighter, the evenings certainly are.
I’ve been out and about as always trying varied route every day so seeing different things as I walk around the local area. I was pleased to see some old fashioned hedging being done towards Shillingstone instead of the thrash and bash of the tractor and cutter.
I got up Hambledon hill a couple of times recently and the views have as always been special. On my way down I spotted a little bird in the scrub and realised it was a female Stonechat, the first time I have seen one on the hill.
