I thought I would take a walk on Okeford Hill to see if the Bluebells were well out. It was really foggy in the Stour Valley and I was hoping for mist and a few sun rays when I got to the Bluebells, but it was not to be just a slight haze with a little sunshine coming through just touching the sides of the trees. The Bluebells were not fully out but they are on their way, there also needs to be some Beech leaves out for a lovely green contrast and I’m still hoping for a Roe deer to be standing in the Bluebells looking at me, they are always somewhere else. Us photographers are always looking for something different!!!

They are fairly difficult to find in the woods as much of the ground is covered with Bramble and scrub but there are still a few areas that are more open. They don’t get trodden on like in some popular Bluebell woods, the National Trust has fenced most of the Bluebells at Pamphill this year, why do people have to walk on them it makes me so cross. Anyway where I go it is more remote and it is a fair walk to get to them.

There was a lot of birdlife as I crossed the field back to Okeford Hill, Yellohammers as always and a new one for me on the hill, Linnets another bird on the red conservation list so they were nice to see. The image is a little distant but you can see what it is.
