On Sunday 1st March when I went out for a walk with Tilly the sun was coming up and it was clear blues skies, not much of a sunrise so I headed down to the North Dorset Trailway by car as the floods were up once again. I went for a lovely walk with Tilly up to the Hammoon road and back.

As I headed up the Trailway two Herons came across from the Heronry. The Skylarks were flying and singing but they get lost somehow in the blue sky.
I’ve seen more Chaffinches this year than I normally see and the Yellowhammers are showing well in the hedge tops. The birds are more active now and declaring their territories.
I’m trying to get back on track with my posts but I haven’t been too well and usually by the evening I feel too tired and promise to do them tomorrow, hopefully I can soon catch up once again!
