On the 26th June I decided to walk to Hambledon Hill in the morning I wanted to see if there were any Bee Orchids flowering yet, I’d been looking for sometime and was beginning to think I wasn’t going to see them this year after the dry hot spring. The Orchids haven’t shown so well on the hill this year. I searched where I saw them last year and I found one, I couldn’t find any more but they are so small and easy to miss.

The Pyramidal Orchids have come on since I was up there last and there a quite a few dotted around the slopes.

While I was down on the ground taking picture I noticed a Meadow Grasshopper on my lens!

The Marbled White Butterflies are also about on the hill, again not too many but perhaps more will appear as the season goes on.
