Sunrise 05.53 Sunset 20.33 13th August

Tonight was the night for the best display of the Perseid meteor shower. I was going to get up in the early hours, like 2am to try and take a photo but I made the fatal mistake of going to bed! The camera was all set up on the tripod with remote release and torch to hand, I had read up on how best to capture them but best plans etc….

I went outside a 10 and saw one come across, quite spectacular but the sky was still fairly light. Went off to bed and I woke up in the early hours but it was too comfortable in bed so I watched through the velux window above the bed at a few more going across and then went back to sleep. Lazy or what!

I might stay up a little later tonight, but we shall see.
