Usually January seems to be a long month but here we are at the last day already, even with being under lockdown at home it has just gone!
We have had so much rain and on the 31st January the floods were once again up in the Stour meadows. I went down early hoping for a good sunrise, the forecast was for clearing skies with light cloud, it didn’t happen there was more colour in the sky to the west!
I eventually gave up after waiting a while, Tilly my dog had enjoyed herself though, and I went home.

When I got home I looked over the field behind our house and spotted the family of deer. We hadn’t seen them for sometime and we were really pleased to see them again. They were well out in the field and busy grazing, I went and got my camera with a zoom lens on and took some pictures, they are all looking healthy and the boys antlers are looking very impressive. They stayed for a while until they disappeared through the hedge.
