On the 6th April I took my early morning walk under Hambledon hill, it was a nice sunny morning and I walked through the scrubby bushes at the base under the bridleway towards Shroton Lines, there were a few Yellowhammers and it was nice to see some Linnets in the bushes, although they tend to be very nervous and it’s difficult to get close to them. I’m still trying to get a good picture of them either on the hill or in Netmead field close to home!

On the way home this Cock Pheasant was strutting about, certainly very handsome at the moment in his breeding colours.

Another morning I walked to Bere Marsh and I spotted a Goldfinch collecting the fluff off the Reed Mace in the pond by the Farm, nest building is in full swing now and the Blackbirds are doing the same collecting nest material.

Just a Robin posing on a fence post at Bere Marsh!
