I’ve been lucky to see the Barn Owl out in the mornings around dawn especially if it has been raining during the night. It is so lovely to see him quartering the fields although he doesn’t seem to be that successful catching prey, always a problem as the winter takes hold.

I was so pleased to get some pictures as it was around dawn and the light was not good ie.cloudy and I couldn’t manage a fast shutter speed for the flight. The pictures came out well considering. But having said that I feel very privileged just to be able to watch one so close to home.
