I decided I would take my new Olympus camera out with me for my morning walk, I’m too late for the sunrise at the moment as it’s getting earlier, it will be an extra special effort for me to get out then at the moment. I’m happy with 6am but if I think there may be a chance of something special then I will get up earlier!
I’m really glad I decided on a local walk and with my 300mm lens which on the Olympus camera equates to an 600mm reach. Before I’d got very far I spotted the Hare, I’d seen him the previous day but not as close. I managed to get a few pictures before he decided to head towards me. I scared him away as he was heading for the road. The closest I have got to one so far!

There is still some activity in the Heronry although it’s difficult to see them now the trees are in leaf.

Plenty of small bird activity along the Trailway from Hammoon. I was particularly pleased to see a Spotted Flycatcher with plenty of flies in his beak.

Finally as I got towards Hayward’s bridge there was a Buzzard on the wires, all in all a lovely morning walk.
