I had to take some photographs down to Wareham for the Dorset Arts and Crafts exhibition on 29th July it was a lovely morning if a little warm but I thought I couldn’t go home without a trip to Arne. I decided to walk over Coombe Heath as it was going to get very hot,I expected not to see much action about. But I wasn’t disappointed there were Dragonflies about on the pond and the Heather was looking stunning, although there wasn’t much in the way of bird life.

Just a quick glimpse of a Sika Hind who crossed the path behind me with a youngster, who didn’t hang around. She stood and watched me which allowed me to take a photo.

The juvenile Thrush was sitting in a tree when I went to have a cup of tea before making my way home.
