I’m still playing catchup with my diary, so much to do! Early November and the weather has deteriorated into more wet weather, although not cold. I have seen several flocks of Fieldfare and Redwings in various places round the village, I’m sure they are coming in earlier than usual.

The wet weather has made walking difficult and sometimes I don’t know which path to go on although Tilly and I don’t mind it’s when they get slippy with mud particularly on Hambledon Hill, alright going up but a problem coming down.

Of course the Stour has flooded the meadows several times and we have been unable to cross the fields to Bere Marsh, but that is the nature of the landscape but it does seem to be a frequent occurrence at the moment!
