Another glorious morning. It appeared quite quiet this morning not a lot about, a deer grazing at a distance in Bere Marsh but nothing exceptional that is until I decided to go back home up Greenway Lane. I just came out of the spinney with Kim and there in the track was a Roe deer. I stopped completely still and so did Kim, she was on the lead. I thought I’d risk a photo and raised my camera and took a picture. The deer was curious and started to walk towards us. I was waiting for Kim to pull me but she didn’t and the deer got within a few feet of us before it decided to run away. What a lovely experience, perhaps she thought Kim’s ears were another deer!

I was very lucky to get the pictures there was no time to check the settings and I discovered I was in manual exposure so that could have been anything, but I had a perfect histogram and the pictures were OK even looking straight into the sun!
