Since sighting our deer family recently they are coming back to the field behind us regularly, maybe just for a few minutes and then going as quickly as they came but some days they stay a longer time. On Friday 11th December just after sunrise it was one of their shorter visits, it was when I realised there were now four of them, the doe and her male and female offspring and an adult buck, which was a lovely surprise. That day they didn’t stay for long and soon went.

Then on Monday 14th December I spotted them once again, I always check now there are four present. I spotted them in the field just before we went dog training with Tilly and Mia, they were still there when we came back, we went shopping and sure enough they were still tucked under the hedge quite happily, we had dinner took the dogs out for a walk and they were still there, they finally moved around three as the light was going in the sky. When we came back from shopping we noticed the Hunt was about two fields away, they aren’t allowed on the land round the village, we were so pleased they were safe.
I took the pictures out of our Velux window standing on the bed, they weren’t phased at all as they must have heard me open the window.!

We have noticed if the weather is bad they like to shelter under the hedge of the field and so it was on Friday 18th December. The weather was not pleasant at all the rain was horizontal coming fro behind the hedge but they tucked themselves under it a stayed for the day, again as it was getting dark they slowly grazed for a while and then disappeared.
