New Lens

I’ve had the new Olympus 100-400mm Zoom lens on order for a couple of months, due to a lot of interest in this new product from Olympus and of course Covid restrictions there has been a bit of a hold up with stock, but on 17th of December I had an email saying that it was now in the warehouse, it was posted straight away and arrived the next day. So on 19th December the weather wasn’t too bad, although the light wasn’t too good I just wanted to try it out!

My first effort was a Blackbird on our fence taken through the living room window, OK so far!

As I went out the back door for a walk I notice the Roe deer in the field behind us I couldn’t resist a picture and also some of “our” many Pheasants in the field, we have quite a flock of males and females and they are safe from the many shoots round this area.

Of course there is always an obliging Robin just waiting for his photograph to be taken!

I was pleased to see a female Bullfinch on my very short walk close to home and then a Bluetit. Just a quick try out I’m looking forward to getting out there when the days are a little lighter rather than the grey days we have had.
