After a couple of days of foggy mornings on the 28th February I looked out of the window before dawn and saw that it was clear with a frost and slight layer of mist towards the river. I decided to head for Bere Marsh once again and the North Dorset Trailway.

I walked a fair way up the Trailway and back the same way, I hadn’t seen too much but as I was heading for the farm the Barn Owl suddenly appeared to the side of me, he disappeared behind a hedge into a field and then reappeared behind me, I was unable to get a good image of him as he came towards me, photographer error! The best picture I got was his rear end as he flew back to the barn.
