Sunday 10th August

There was much talk of a Supermoon this evening, it was going to be closer to the earth than it has been in over twenty years. The  moon was 14 per cent bigger and 30 per cent brighter than usual.

I decided to have a go at taking a picture at the front of the house, it did look impressive as it rose over Hambledon hill. I had to set up my tripod and use my 500mm lens. I used manual for all the settings and Live view to enable me to focus with the 10x Zoom feature.

This is the result:

Supermoon - f6.3 1/160sec 100ISO
