Friday 19th September

Sunrise 06:56 Sunset 19:06 BST

We have just had a very warm muggy night and there were thunderstorms all around us, we could see the lighting but no thunder. I heard on the news this morning that there was heavy storms in Wiltshire with flooding. We were lucky as we only got some welcome rain!

Rod and I took the dogs for a walk up the road after dark last night and when we returned to our garden we had two visitors, a large and small hedgehog they soon scuffled off into the undergrowth when we saw them. I must look out for them this evening as it was only 8.30pm well before bedtime!

It was very gloomy and misty this morning on my morning walk, I was on my way well before sunrise, I’m now going out around 6.20am I could hear the Tawny owls still calling and as I went through the little spinney there was one in the old Oak tree just above me calling. Tried as I might I couldn’t see it, hopefully one day!
