Well I’ve seen my Tawny Owl at last! I decided to walk along the trailway from Bere Marsh to the Hammoon road, it was very misty so I couldn’t see too far into the distance. I was just pst the burial ground when this large brown bird flew across in front of me. I thought it was a Buzzard, any way it flew back and I realised it wasn’t a Buzzard and then I saw it’s round face and recognised it as a Tawny Owl. To dark for pictures but so pleased to see it.
