The weather has changed at last, it’s dry! Time for gardening . The fields are drying up and the forecast looks good for a few days.
I’ve been very busy in the last little while and I’m now trying to catch up with myself! Spring is definitely on the way and with the change in the weather you can see new growth every day. Even the banks of the river are getting covered in greenery already; it’s amazing how things can change so quickly. The birds are busy I’ve noticed Blue tits and Sparrows checking out the nest boxes in the street and of course the Rooks are busy in their Rookeries squabbling and nest building.
At last I can see a difference in the daylight hours which means I can get up earlier to take the dogs out. The farmer has even put some of his cattle in the field, they have been stood in a yard up the road all winter I bet they loved it when they got in the field.

There has also been a lot of deer activity, mainly in a distant field so I haven’t had to worry about the dogs chasing them. We were out for a walk just after dusk and were pleased to see some bats flying around, not sure where they roost though I’m sure there are lots of places nearby.
