Shillingstone walk

It was quiet on my walks in early April and of course we were still on lock down. The weather has been very settled but the clear skies made for an uninteresting landscape. It changed on 7th April when I got up I could see there was a mist coming off of the River Stour so I headed down the lane crossing over to Bere Marsh farm.

The Moon was just setting, it was one day away from full and would be the biggest and brightest of 2020  because it was at it’s closest to the earth and it certainly looked impressive this morning.

As I walked down the lane I saw some Roe deer in the field, I could just see them through the gaps in the hedge, the hedges will soon be covered in leaves and I won’t be able to see through them.

The views from the Trailway were stunning as the sun began to rise, the light was amazing. It was still beautiful as I crossed over the Stour over the Wilson Haines bridge.
