The weather is sunshine cloud and showers. We’ve had some heavy rains overnight and the river is quite high, I hope the birds that nest on or near have built their nest high.
Still plenty to see, I’ve seen pairs of Bullfinches in two different areas and all the birds are busy with their nests. I was told about a Woodpeckers nest in an Ash tree near home, I went to have a look and sure enough an adult came in I could hear some babies. It wasn’t easy to see the nest but at least I knew they were there. The adult was making a lot of noise so I left them in peace.
The deer are still around although they are more difficult to spot in the long grass and you never know when you will see them, I’ve also seen hoof prints down the lane.
The fox is still active I saw him at Cranborne edge with a rabbit just in front of him, the rabbit seemed unconcerned and just popped into his burrow as the fox got closer.
Another picture of a Damsel fly below taken with my 500mm lens. I didn’t capture anything larger!
