Another fine morning and fairly quiet out with the dogs in the morning. That is until I was on my way back and just going through the spinney when I heard some high pitched noises in the bushes, it sounded like a Kingfisher. So I stood watching down to the river and sure enough one appeared then another and in total I saw four, although there could have been more! They were very active chasing one another even going over the top of me nearly parting my hair, it was really exciting there were Kingfishers in all directions. I am assuming it was a family as Kingfishers are very territorial. It’s good to know they are doing well after the winter we have had.

I spent a couple of hours watching them and trying to take some photos but it was very difficult seeing through all the leaves and they move very quickly!
